Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Mrs Atasay. This year I am the Year 1/2M classroom teacher and the Infant Coordinator. I would like to welcome you all to another academic year.

Infant Team reminders:

ALLERGIES

We are a nut free school and classrooms, as there are students in classes that have allergies. We need to ensure that all students are safe inside and outside of the classroom. Please be aware that students who have Nutella or Peanut butter will not be able to eat their lunch. Any items that contain nuts will be sent home.

I would like to thank you all for your understanding.

HYGIENE

For hygiene purposes, we request that you provide a box of tissues, hand sanitiser and wet wipes each term. Your child will be sharing and using their supplies; for example, before and after food and toilet visits.

HOMEWORK

Students will be given the opportunity to complete work according to the Australian Curriculum requirements. Therefore it is important that you assist your child in completing their homework on a nightly basis. Students will take their homework folders home every Monday and return it for correction on Friday. This is changed on the specified day the teacher has requested.

Please ensure your child reads one book per night. Readers will only be changed on the specified date, therefore please ensure your child returns their folder on the day the teacher has requested.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Your child is required to wear their sports uniform on the given day set by classroom teacher. Runners can only be worn on sport days.

NO HAT NO PLAY

This policy applies during Term One and Term Four. Therefore it is really important that your child has their hat/uniform and personal items ‘labelled’ and left at school.

Also please ensure that your child with a water bottle.

CANTEEN

Student lunch orders for the canteen must be filled in at home. Ensure the order bag has the class, student name, and items clearly written including the correct change.

MATHLETICS/READING EGGS

All students have been issued with a username and password for their Mathletics/Reading Eggs Program. Please support and monitor your child’s progress on the days specified by the classroom teacher.

SCHOOL CARPARK

Please be mindful when using the drop off zone area. Please don’t use it as a car park. If you would like to walk your child to class, you are required to park in the parking bays. When entering and exiting the car park you will need to drive at 10km to ensure everyone is safe. Students are to be under parent supervision before 8.35am and after 3.55pm. The school will not be held responsible for incidents that occur within these specified hours. If you arrive after this time you are required to pick up and sign your child out from the library.
